The NATURSEA-PV consortium gathered on September 5-6, 2024, for the M25 General Assembly, hosted at MARIN HQ in Wageningen, Netherlands. Over the course of two productive days, partners presented progress updates, discussed challenges, and outlined the project’s next steps as we continue advancing offshore floating photovoltaic (PV) solutions.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the opportunity to visit MARIN’s testing facilities, where vessels and their hulls are tested under various wave and weather conditions. This visit provided valuable insights into the advanced technologies MARIN employs to simulate real-world marine environments, emphasizing the importance of rigorous testing in maritime innovation.
Additionally, the consortium had the chance to see the first scaled prototype of the NATURSEA-PV platform. While we can’t reveal too much just yet, stay tuned—exciting updates about this scale prototype will be shared soon!
